When The Wardrobe Theatre is recruiting for new roles at the theatre, opportunities will be advertised here.

CASTING CALL-OUT – Moulin Scrooge by The Wardrobe Theatre & Front Room Theatre

Show Info: https://thewardrobetheatre.com/shows/moulin-scrooge/

Rehearsals: 30th Nov – 8th Dec 2026 at Front Room Theatre, Weston-super-Mare
Performances: 9th Dec 2026 – 3rd Jan 2027 at Front Room Theatre, Weston-super-Mare (3 days off for xmas)
Fee: £631/week – 5 weeks

Role we are seeking:

Satine
(Female – playing 30s/40s)
Satine is the jaded club dancer and singer desperate for a life beyond the fading glamour of the crumbling stage. She plays the thing of desire for the audience and is a harder edged, weather worn realist backstage. Performer must have excellent comic timing and strong acting range – able to shift between high-status confidence and low-status silliness with ease.
Requirements: exceptional singer; must be confident with singing alongside choreography and physical theatre.
Must have a local base.

CASTING CALL-OUT – Goldilock, Stock & Three Smoking Bears by The Wardrobe Theatre

Show Info: https://thewardrobetheatre.com/shows/goldilock-stock-three-smoking-bears/

Rehearsals: 26th Oct – 19th Nov 2026 at TBC
Performances: 20th Nov 2026 – 16th Jan 2027 at The Wardrobe Theatre, Bristol (3 days off for xmas)
Fee: £631/week – 12 weeks

Role we are seeking:

Paddy/Vinnie
(Male, any age)
Vinnie is the hardened gang thug doing Harry’s dirty work for him. No one messes with Vinnie and he’s not afraid to use his intimidating presence to get what he needs from debtors and tenants. But perhaps there’s a gentler side to Vinnie, reserved for his beloved son and for Goldilocks, for whom he has a soft spot. Paddy is one of the trio of privileged, family money bears who move to the city to slum it with the plebs. Paddy is loveable and incredibly naive, often taken advantage of by the other two toffs but with a dangerous temper you don’t want to ignite… Performer should be a versatile comedic character actor with strong improvisation skills. Ability to play multiple roles is essential; accents and strong physical comedy are highly desirable and must be able to sing confidently in character.
Must have a local base.

Deadline for either of the above roles: Please email alice@thewardrobetheatre.com a Headshot, CV and/or link to your Spotlight by 5pm, Saturday 4th July 2026

Auditions will be held 10am-5pm in July (exact date TBC) at The Wardrobe Theatre in Bristol.
