Do you have a show you want to put on at The Wardrobe Theatre? We’re always looking for exciting new productions and ideas to try onstage. We try to support as many up-and-coming artists and companies based in Bristol and the South West as possible but we also host suitable touring shows.

Show Proposals
Please email all show proposals to: programming@thewardrobetheatre.com
When emailing us:
- please include as much information about you, your company and your proposed production as possible including images, video links, website links and reviews. If the production is totally brand new and you don’t have any images or video yet, send us some images and video links of your previous work
- if possible invite us to see a live performance of your production or send a link to a full video recording
- please include information on roughly when you are looking to bring your show here and for how long (we generally programme events at The Wardrobe Theatre 6 months in advance)
- please confirm whether your production is in the process of applying for funding and is funding dependent, has funding already secured or whether any performance here would not be funding dependent
- please do not send us entire scripts
Please be aware that we receive a huge number of emails and regret that we cannot reply to every email we receive. If we are interested in your production and think it would fit the programme here at The Wardrobe Theatre we will get back to you as soon as we can – this may be several weeks.
What We Programme
The Wardrobe Theatre’s programme is a curated mix of theatre, comedy, spoken word, cabaret, drag, improv, new writing and family shows. Please be aware we do not programme Shakespeare or any other classics. Instead we favour devised work and new ideas, shows that celebrate the liveness of theatre and engage a younger than normal theatre crowd (our audience is mainly aged 18-45).
We work on a box office split with all visiting companies.
