Lindsey Cole really is a mermaid and swims long distances in her tail campaigning to save our rivers and seas. She’s swum the length of the Bristol Avon towing a poo sculpture and became the first mermaid to swim across the Bristol Channel. She once ended up on page 3 of a national tabloid because she rescued a drowning cow whilst mermaiding the length of the River Thames, which is how she became a children’s author. She’s written and illustrated two children’s books and visits schools sharing her stories.
