Expect surprising creatures, magical journeys, and (because it’s that time of year) a few spooky moments along the way. And then help Thomas to invent a brand-new adventure story unlike anything that’s been told before… There will be a series of fun creative tasks that need your ideas, from drawing magical maps to inventing unusual beasts.
Thomas Spencer is a writer and storyteller. Having toured the UK with award- winning theatre productions for many years, he now spends his time working with young people: sharing old tales from around the world and inventing new and surprising stories.

This performance is designed to be fun for children and adults alike. Some of the stories may be a bit scary for younger children, so we’d recommend it to ages 7+ (but we’re not going to turn anyone away as every young person is different and we
trust you to know your own children). And while we expect a lot of families at this afternoon event, it’s not only for kids. Adults are totally welcome on their own – folk tales are for everyone.
