The Wardrobe Theatre and Front Room Theatre present a series of free workshops every Sunday afternoon in Weston-super-Mare for early career theatre-makers

The Wardrobe Theatre and Front Room are offering an amazing opportunity to take part in an 8 week Devising Theatre Workshop taking place this Autumn. Over the course of 8 weeks you will be given advice, mentorship and training by experienced industry professionals as you explore the processes of devising an original piece of theatre. The course will begin on Sept 7th and run each Sunday until finishing with a sharing on Oct 26th.

The workshops will offer skill enhancements in Devising, Music and Sound Design and advice on creating work that will offer you the best chance of getting support and bookings. Over the course of the 8 weeks you will be encouraged to interrogate an idea that you may already have or an entirely new one. Industry professionals will help you explore the idea and you will have the chance to share a scratch performance of a short snippet of your work at the end of the course.

This series of workshops will inspire, inform and support you to take steps towards creating an original piece of work in a supportive, collaborative and fun environment, so come along and enjoy the process of finding your creative voice. This is particularly aimed at early career theatre makers who would like to develop solo shows, or at groups who would already be interested in working together.
