See what happens when artists from Bristol and Latin America who’ve never met are given just 48 hours to connect, create and perform
Juicy Bits is PAPAYA Fest’s groundbreaking creative experiment: a unique chance to witness brand-new international theatre before anyone else.
One artist from Bristol. One from Latin America. They’ve never met as they’re thousands of miles apart. But they have just 48 hours to build a piece of theatre from nothing. They can use whatever means of communication they choose: messages, pictures, voice notes, zoom calls or maybe just music – then they perform it live, just once, in front of you. No safety net, no second attempt: just whatever two strangers can pull off across the distance. Watch Bristol and Latin America collide on stage and make something neither could have made alone.
Expect surprises, discoveries and moments that could never be repeated. Raw, playful and packed with creative energy, Juicy Bits offers a rare glimpse into the magic of making theatre – and the thrill of seeing something completely new come to life.

PAPAYA Fest 2026: a 9 day festival of theatre, music and celebration bringing Latin American and British cultures together.
