Access Bookings

If you have any access requirements, you will have the opportunity to provide details during the online booking process.

Companion Tickets

For bookers who need a support worker or essential companion to accompany them, we can offer a free companion ticket. Before booking, please email tickets@thewardrobetheatre.com. Your customer account will then be tagged so that whenever you book two tickets, one of them will be automatically discounted to £0. Alternatively (or if you have already booked your ticket) please forward your booking confirmation email to tickets@thewardrobetheatre.com letting us know you need to add a companion ticket and we will then book an additional complimentary ticket for you.

Wheelchairs

Two wheelchair spaces are available on the back row nearest the entrance to the theatre, which can be reserved whilst booking a ticket.

Below is a visual guide of how to access The Wardrobe Theatre without steps:

The main front door to the building has one large step and the rest of the route to the theatre is flat. To avoid the step, please use the side door, down a short side-alley (86cm/34″ at its narrowest) to the left of the main entrance. This door will sometimes be open during the day, however if you do find that it is closed, there is a doorbell that alerts The Old Market Assembly bar staff to open it.

Access to the rest of the theatre is open and smooth, including a level access toilet. The back row of the theatre’s seating bank is the same level as the rest of the building. If you have any other queries, please contact: info@thewardrobetheatre.com

Relaxed Performances

Relaxed performances are specifically set-up to be sensitive to, and accepting of, audience members who may benefit from a more relaxed environment including (but not limited to) those with: Autistic Spectrum conditions, Sensory and Communication disorders, Learning Disabilities.

These shows allow everyone to enjoy the show in their own way, whether that includes the need to move in and out of the theatre during the performance, make involuntary noises, or take a bit more time to adjust to surroundings. If you have any queries, please contact: info@thewardrobetheatre.com

Performances for Parents & Babies (Under 18 Months)

These afternoon performances are adult, non-censored shows for new parents with babies up to 18 months. The shows have a reduced capacity, reduced amplification and low lighting levels in the theatre during the entire show. These performances are not appropriate for children over 18 months. During the show feel free to feed, walk about or play with toys and no-one will moan or mutter if your little one cries or screams. Babies go free.
