Teams of poets from four South West towns and cities will battle it out to impress the audience and win the title of South West Poetry Showdown Champions! Last year’s winners Exeter will take on teams from Bristol, Weston and Clevedon. Join us for an energetic evening of impressive wordsmithery and good-spirited competitiveness, hosted by Sophie Shepherd.

Rhyme Against the Tide is a lively and friendly poetry slam that’s been making waves since 2021 at Loves Cafe in Weston-super-Mare. Run by Sophie Shepherd, this event brings together talented slammers from all over the South West to battle it out for the audience’s vote and a bespoke RATT trophy!
Spork! Poetry is a spoken-word poetry producer in Exeter that puts on fun, engaging and accessible events.
