Step into a world of story, song, and spontaneity with musical storyteller, Mica Sinclair, and Bristol-based musicians – an adult storytelling show

Let’s gather together on the evening of Sunday 9th March for a free, interactive storytelling show for adults with live musical accompaniment.

Mica Sinclair will weave the story of spider-woman whilst Bristol-based musicians will improvise alongside the unfolding story, creating a spontaneous tapestry. It’s all going to be very off the cuff, alive, and in the moment.

Featuring:

  • Emmy the Harp on harp
  • Katie Moberly on cello and bass
  • Sophie Wilsdon on clarinet

Join Spider-Woman
On a journey of unraveling,
As she reaches the end of her wits’ webs
And begins to follow the hum of her heart,
To a land beyond lands,
Where nothing is as it seems.

This show is a gift from the sea of stories
Therefore if you feel a yes and take a ticket
please commit to the journey
put it in your diary
feel the story already
working it’s magic
and know that
The journey
Has already begun

🕷️

Hello! Mica here.

I’m sitting at my window on Friday, the 17th of January, reflecting on the journey ahead. For the next two months, I’ve committed to creating space for the mystical ways of myth and story to move through me—to shape and guide me.

I will let Spider-Woman lead me into nature: to rivers, oceans, sandy shores, and into the depths of my heart. She will carry me through shifting worlds, stir my emotions, and inspire me. I will follow her presence in the winds, in silence, in moments of connection and in solitude. Allowing the story to become what It wants to be.

I don’t know exactly where Spider-Woman will lead me.  All I can say is that I am clearing the way to hear her and that I have the courage, space, and willingness to follow.

So come and be part of this one-time-only constellation.

Join us on this immersive journey as we follow Spider-Woman to the land of wonder and discover what lies waiting to be revealed.

Thanks to the support of the Arts Council, this performance is a free gift. I would love nothing more than to have the whole theatre brimming with people and aliveness.

If you book a ticket, please do come. If something changes, I kindly ask that you cancel so someone else can join us.

I can’t wait to see you there.

All my love,

Mica 🙂

A bold satire exploring the struggles of being an artist in the cost of living crisis. With brutal honesty and abrupt silliness, Mia and Daisy navigate having to work under the tattered austerity umbrella and ask the question: can working class and middle class creatives really work together?
