Raina Greifer presents a funny and brutal look at consent filled with poetry, puppets and PowerPoint
presentations – expect feminist philosophy, poetry, bathroom sex, cheese strings, Michael Cera balloons, desperation, laughter, cringe, saxophones and a lot of hope for a better sex life!

Hi. My name is Raina. I don’t like when people see me naked and then don’t talk to me.

When Raina arrives at her spoken word gig to see her exes in the audience, all the questions she’s had about her past sexual experiences begin to surface. A show about bad sex and the murky parts of consent, expect impromptu burlesque, PowerPoint presentations, Michael Cera cameos, cringe, and desperation.

Sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking, MANIC combines spoken word, DIY puppetry, and TedTalk comedy to ask whether it is possible to say you were violated without implicating a partner.

WINNER – Best Solo Show, FUSE International 2022

“A powerful yet harrowing experience, MANIC is an important addition to the conversation of sexual inequality.”
NSDF Noises Off

“A challenging and multifaceted show with a figure of raw talent at its heart.”
★★★★ Confessions of a Five Foot Two Actress
