Making her Bristol debut, Brazilian performer Ana Borges brings this heartwarming, rollercoaster ride of emotions to PAPAYA Fest. An autobiographical piece that promises to make you laugh, cry and everything in between

Grief is always a good subject to avoid.
Want to kill the mood? Ruin someone’s day?
Start rabbiting on about grief.
But… in this deeply funny, heart-breaking show, Ana unapologetically puts hers on stage. Most people feel like a burden when talking about their loss. Not Ana. She dresses it up in sequins. And she promises you a good time if you come along for the ride.

Join us after the show (if you feel inclined) for an intimate Day of the Dead ceremony. The audience will be invited to write their own letter to a deceased loved one and learn a bit about this Latin American tradition. You can bring a memento for our shrine and take some time to celebrate your loved ones with music from PapayaFest favourite DJ Panther Panther.
