Lava Elastic started out as the UK’s first openly Neurodiverse comedy, poetry and performance night just a few years ago and has become known for its generous, fun events for audience and performers alike
Lava Elastic returns with an unforgettable night of boundary-pushing comedy, spoken word, and joyful chaos!
Born as the UK’s first openly neurodiverse comedy night, Lava Elastic has built a reputation for showcasing bold, brilliant performers who bend form, expectations and genre into something fresh, funny, and fiercely alive. Each edition is a hand-picked mix of comedy, poetry, and unexpected performance, held together by warmth, mischief, and connection.
This latest edition lands at The Wardrobe Theatre Bristol on the 3rd September, bringing together a line-up of artists who each offer something distinct: razor-sharp stand-up, poetic digressions, character comedy, musical moments and beautifully unpredictable live work. No two Lava Elastic nights are ever quite the same, but they all share a sense of intimacy, inclusivity and an atmosphere where anything can happen (and usually does).
Hosted by the brilliant Sarah Saeed, the evening moves between acts with charm, wit and a real knack for making the room feel instantly at ease. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time, Lava Elastic offers a night that feels alive, generous, and gloriously unpolished in all the right ways!
“Lava Elastic is like a TV variety show if TV was allowed to be weird. It’s a joyous experience that surprises and delights.”
Victoria Melody, award-winning performance artist
“Absolutely brilliant night. The acts were really friendly and very funny. Would definitely recommend.”
