Shakespeare’s much loved comedy, brought to life by the Level 3 Acting Year 2 students of the Bristol Institute of Performing Arts (BIPA)

“The course of true love never did run smooth…”

In this fresh retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, young lovers escape the strict laws of Athens and flee to the moonlit woods. But when mischievous fairies intervene, passion, jealousy and magic collide, and nothing goes to plan. As spells are cast and identities blur, illusion and reality become entangled in Shakespeare’s much loved comedy.

Performed by the Level 3 Acting Year 2 students of the Bristol Institute of Performing Arts, this production places the text and storytelling at its centre, showcasing the work of an emerging ensemble of actors in their final year of Level 3 training.
