This month’s featured cover artist is Tom Hodgkinson, a Bristol-based mixed media collage artist whose work combines traditional elements of glue, paper cuttings and paints with found imagery.

This autumn we’re welcoming some of the UK’s most exciting theatre-makers alongside the very best of Bristol’s home-grown talent. Highlights include brand-new work from Action Hero, Clare Murphy, Living Spit, Riddlestick Theatre, House of Figs, Stuff & Nonsense Theatre, BRILLIG Theatre, and many more. We’ll also be celebrating bold international voices through PAPAYA Fest 2026, returning with an inspiring programme of theatre, live music, film and discussion exploring stories and artists from Latin America.

Comedy lovers can expect another bumper season, with stand-up from Laura Lexx, Jordan Brookes, John Hegley, James Barr, Louise Leigh, Kim Blythe, Li Jin Hao, James Roque, Matt Winning and Adam Riches, alongside regular favourites including The Antics Joke Show, The Lost Cabaret, Bristol Know Show, Aftermirth and Out Of The Wardrobe.

Music and spoken word are flourishing too, with intimate performances from Mull Historical Society, Milk Poetry, Story Slam, Bradley Taylor & Friends, Keith Jarrett, Bristol Baithaks and many more.

Families are in for a treat throughout the season, with joyful adventures including Professor Slug’s House of Bugs, WiFi Wars, On Your Bike Baffo, Simon Panrucker’s Ridiculous Songs For Kids!, Rabbit & Rey and The Lost Things, Kindness Karl, plus our ever-popular Rock The Tots concerts and a packed festive programme.

And of course, Christmas at The Wardrobe Theatre is back in spectacular style: To celebrate 10 years of The Wardrobe Theatre in Old Market, we’re bringing back one of our most-loved productions of all time: Goldilock, Stock & Three Smoking Bears. The show that opened our Old Market home in 2015 returns for a huge festive run, promising the same fast, smart, gloriously silly comedy that audiences have loved for the past decade. Alongside it, families can enjoy the enchanting new winter adventure Where Did The Snow Go?, little ones can meet Santa & Snowball, and adults can kick off the festive season with the hilarious Original Sing-A-Long-A Muppet Christmas Carol by cult comedy/theatre sensations, Sh!t Theatre.

As always, you’ll also find our regular programme of improv, drag, LGBTQ+ performance, film screenings, community events and experimental work, making this one of our most varied seasons yet. Tickets are on sale now and we’d love to welcome you through our doors this autumn and winter.
