Jonathan Kay, the renowned 21st Century Fool, returns to The Wardrobe Theatre after his spellbinding performance in 2023
Kay brings the theatre of immediacy and improvisation into his completely unique Fooling performance. From the sacred to the profane and back again. A journey into the heart of all it means to be human, contrasting the mundane minutiae of life to the archaic archetypal forces that hold us all in connection.
Kay is the founder of the largest street theatre festival in the UK, The Hat Fair, and is an Honorary Fellow of The University of Winchester. He has performed and taught in Canada, the USA, Australia, South Korea and Jordan and extensively throughout Europe and the UK, including time at the prestigious Drama Centre and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
Whether Fooling to an audience of millions on the BBC World News, on stage at TedX Manchester or with us here again in Bristol, expect the unexpected in the most magical, anarchic and delightful way. A show like no other you will ever see.
“Wickedly funny and completely unpredictable.”
The Guardian
“In his entirely improvised one-man shows, he leaves his audiences dizzy.”
