There are songs and drawings of cats, anteaters, hamsters, biscuits and of course, horses, in this new show by John Hegley, presented by Chuckle Busters

John Hegley returns to The Wardrobe Theatre with an epic version of his Edinburgh Fringe show 2024, the impetus for which was hearing a youngster asking his teacher this unusual question, which led to delving into 40 years as a part-time educator – and 70 as a full-time learner.

90 minutes of mandolin accompanied enquiry into family, mythology, biology and opportunity, curiosity and cardboard modelling.

The material incorporates cats, camels, a talking headless-chicken and of course horses with additional coconut-shell hoof noises.

An evening of fun, emotion and a small amount of dancing.
