Eternal pain and suffering, never-ending torment, ceaseless misery – falling in love isn’t always easy. When the foppishly handsome owner of a quaint bookshop falls for a jaw-droppingly gorgeous international mega celeb, little did he think he’d soon find himself deep in the fiery pits of the underworld, surrounded by horses, hounds and facing off with the cursed spawn of satan himself! Oh, bugger! This summer finding true love is going to take a lot of sacrifice, human sacrifice.

Directed by Helena Seneca (The Wardrobe Ensemble), Notting Hell is an alternative comedy mash-up parody from The Wardrobe Theatre, the people that brought you Moulin Scrooge, The Good, The Bad & The Coyote Ugly, MDH: Puppets Do A Movie, Little Women In Black, Drac & Jill and many more – a fast, smart and devilishly funny comedy that promises to be “surreal, but nice”.

“The Wardrobe has consistently managed to find Bristol’s funny bone. Tuning in to the city’s penchant for poking fun at authority and levelling up on inequalities, it manages to do this with a ribald and occasionally absurd sense of humour, elements of surprise, moments of magic and madness but always with spirited performance.”
★★★★★ Stage Talk Magazine

“As funny a show you could want in this world. Or under it… A delight, and testimony to what theatre is capable of in such an intimate place.”
