The shards of truth that shine through in the stories they tell each other are stained by tragedy, but that’s okay. They love dark places; it’s there that they can find the light. Philip Ridley’s Tender Napalm is as hilarious as it is grotesque, as it is gorgeous.

The Directors’ Cuts season is a programme of contemporary theatre presented by the four graduating directors from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and featuring work by acting, design and production students. Now in its twelfth year and at The Wardrobe Theatre for the second time, the Directors’ Cuts season is firmly established in the Bristol theatre calendar.
