It’s the build up to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017 and the UK’s finest comedy talent are coming to The Wardrobe Theatre to road test their shows ahead of the world’s largest arts festival. Each night will feature two full length performances from some of the top comedians in the country for just £9.

Critically acclaimed and wonderfully nice gentleman, Nish Kumar, is one of the UK’s brightest comedy stars. Nish has received multiple award nominations including the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show in 2015 & 2016. He is a regular contributor to The Guardian and a frequent voice and face across both television and radio. As seen on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Q.I., 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Have I Got News For You. As heard on Newsjack, Spotlight Tonight and The Bugle.

“One of the best young comedians we have.” – The Times

Phil grew up with no money, living in a post-Thatcher mining town in the South Wales valleys. However, by 2017, Pontypridd boasts such luxuries as an outdoor heated swimming pool – funded by the EU. In the face of political uncertainty, Phil’s show explores his own anxieties, his childhood, and the effect of global politics on the future of Wales.

Phil Cooper has been a full-time circuit comedian since 2014, and is a familiar face on the Welsh-language TV channel S4C. This year, he developed an 80-minute solo comedy special for the station, alongside fellow comedians Elis James and Tudur Owen.
