Ear Trumpet Folk Club: Young Waters (plus Spindle Ensemble)
Twisted neo-folk tapestry of emotionally powerful vocals, stirring harmonies, lyrical strings and finely mastered acoustic guitar
Young Waters’ twisted neo-folk is a tapestry of emotionally powerful vocals, stirring harmonies, lyrical strings and finely mastered acoustic guitar. Their exhilarating rhythms and intricate melodies, coupled with a repertoire that combines startling original material with traditional folk songs, makes for a captivating stage presence. 2017 has seen the band record a full length album at Peter Gabriel’s legendary Real World Studios which will be released in April 2018 to coincide with their UK tour.
“Energetic, original … excellent stage presence and varied, enchanting material … extremely deserving winners of the Bath Folk Festival New Shoots Competition 2016.”

Spindle Ensemble are an experimental instrumental quartet from Bristol’s music collective ‘Bloom’. They perform original compositions by Daniel Inzani that hover cinematically somewhere between jazz, folk and classical idioms, taking inspiration from artists such as Moondog, Eric Satie and Mulatu Astatke. Their debut album, Bea, was released as a luxury gatefold vinyl edition via new label Adderwell Music in Nov 2017.
“Beautiful sounds, definitely a band to watch.”
