Blah’s Big Weekend: How to Move Your Creative Work Forward – Workshop with Sharon Clark

A packed weekend showcasing the UK's best spoken word performers - presented by Bristol Old Vic, Tangent Books and Anna Freeman

16th Jun 2018
4.45pm | Free (spaces limited)

Featuring some of the biggest names in spoken word, Blah’s Big Weekend returns this June for three days jam-packed with alliteration, assonance, metaphor and rhyme at its finest

Fancy an hour to talk about your own work? How you do what you do? Why you do what you do? How you speak about you and your work to others? This session will get you thinking about how you present yourself and your work to venue producers, funders and audiences. How can we talk about what we do better? With more confidence? Stop mumbling into your jumper and come along for an hour with other artists uncovering a bit more about what makes you tick. A good starting place when you are thinking about going for funding for a new show/piece.

Sharon Clark is a co-founder of Blahblahblah, creative director of immersive theatre company Raucous, playwright, recipient of a Bruntwood Judges Award for her play Plow, dramaturge and university lecturer.
